The Neotech NEI-2001 cable consists of 3 pure UP-OCC silver conductors with shielding. It is perfectly suited for the design of high-end, high-performance XLR or RCA cables. Each of these conductors is composed of 3 silver wires and 4 PTFE wires, all covered with another PTFE sheath for a diameter of 2.65mm. Each silver strand has a different diameter and cross-section: 0.4mm 26AWG, 0.51mm 24AWG and 0.65mm 22AWG. The 3 conductors are placed in a PP filling. Around this filling, a shield composed of an Aluminium-Mylar sheet considerably reduces EMI/RFI interference and can be welded simply with a 0.57mm diameter wire with a 23AWG cross-section. Finally, a thick 2mm PVC sheath and a braided sheath finish this cable with a total outside diameter of 11mm.
